Information sheet for New and Prospective Members
(1) New Member Initiation Fee: Initiation fee is $148.00. This fee covers Administrative cost, club website roster, name badge, and $5.00 toward the Rotary International Foundation.
(2) Types of Memberships and Semi-Annual Invoices for Dues and Meals:
For all memberships, invoices are due December 1 and May 1 and are mailed at least 30 days in advance. The membership period is January 1 to June 30 and July 1 to December 31. New members joining in the second half of an invoice period will have their meals pro-rated through the end of the current invoice period.
(A) Individual Membership: Semi-annual dues and meals are $399 every six (6) months.
(B) Corporate Membership: Semi-annual dues are a minimum of $699.00 every six (6) months. This covers three representatives for the Corporate Membership. Corporate members may choose to pay an additional meal charge (currently $274) for each additional member beyond the initial three. The Corporate Membership was designed to provide Rotary membership for multiple employees from your Company. This should include, at minimum, two employees and the CEO, President, Owner of the Company, Managing Member, Managing Partner, or another form of Company leadership (“the Head”). If a Head is already a Rotarian or if no Head works in the Charleston area, the second or third employee does not have to be a CEO, President, Owner of the Company, Managing Member or Managing Partner.
(C) Young Professional: Semi-annual dues and meals are $299.00 every six (6) months. This classification applies to individuals 39 and under at the time dues and meals are billed.
(D) Rule of 85 Member: Semi-annual dues are $150 every six (6) months. Rule of 85 members may choose to pay for each lunch at the door or pre-pay their meals, bringing the total billing cost to equal the dues listed under Individual Membership. This classification applies to individuals whose age and number of years in Rotary Club combine to equal 85 or greater. The classification requires Board approval.
(3) Transfer Member or Former Member:The transfer fee is $60.00 to cover the cost as listed above under #1.
All members must provide the club administrator with a photo in jpg. form before being introduced.
(4) Community Investment CommitteeMembers are strongly encouraged to participate in our community service activities with both their time and their treasure. Members are also strongly encouraged, but not required to, become Paul Harris fellows by contributing $100 to the Rotary Foundation each year.
